ScopeUS 2bn The Bayan Lepas LRT will be the first light rail transit system in the Malaysian state of Penang. The planned route will connect George Town city centre with the industrial town of Bayan Lepas in the south of the island. Construction of the line was approved in April 2019 and work is expected to begin in mid-2020.
