Project Description
The proposed project consists of an up to US$120 million investment (out of which up to US$50 million for IFC’s own account and up to US$70 million for the account of co-investors) in biodiversity bonds to be issued by Banco Bolivariano C.A. The bonds are expected to have a tenor of up to 5 years and will mark the first biodiversity bonds to be issued in Ecuador.
