DESCRIPTION: The operation consists of a second intermediated Framework Loan of up to €900 million with Bpifrance, the French National Promotional Bank for private companies. It finances small and mid-sized renewable energy sub-projects in France and other countries in the EU.

OBJECTIVES
The operation aims to enhance access to finance for private companies and special purpose vehicles undertaking renewable energy projects. The operation is fully (100%) aligned with Green Finance objectives, making a direct contribution to addressing climate change. It also supports national and EU renewable energy targets, notably ensuring energy supply security. Through its impacts, the operation will support the EU Competitiveness Compass agenda and the EU Action Plan on Affordable Energy and the the latest EU Clean Energy Investment Strategy.
