Scope :
Development of Bus terminal in Zomba .
The plan is to construct three modern bus complexes using a PPP model that allows the capital investment to be recovered through terminal access fees. The terminals would also feature restaurants and shops. Road transport is the most heavily used mode of transport in Malawi. Despite the growth in public, private and international bus services, there are currently no central bus terminals in the country. The project will be funded through the World Bank-backed Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity Project (SATCP).
