Project Summary
IFC is partnering with Marifala, a leading Guinean furniture manufacturer, to jointly explore the development of a forest concession in Guinea. The concession would allow for the sourcing of fully traceable local solid wood for the manufacturing of parts of Marifala's products, observing international best practices with regards to environmental and social standards. This engagement will serve to identify suitable forest concessions and conduct the necessary feasibility studies, including an environmental and social impact assessment, prior to any IFC investment.
