SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Overall goal
Together with the development cooperation donor institutions of Switzerland (SDC), Germany (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ) and Liechtenstein (Liechtenstein Development Service, LED), the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) makes dual education accessible and usable for the field of development cooperation through this initiative.
At the impact level, the project aims to contribute to the development of effective dual or dualized vocational education and training (VET) programs and systems in the partner countries. At the outcome level, the project aims to ensure that the target groups (a) develop a better understanding of the development of dual/dualized VET in the context of international cooperation and (b) better utilize the diverse experiences and synergy potential of the participating development actors (SDC, LED, BMZ/GiZ, ADA).
Expected results
The expected results can be assigned to three areas of action: (1) positioning and capacity building, (2) processing experience and generating specialist expertise, and (3) networking and consulting.
Target group / Beneficiaries
Direct/active target groups: Donors and implementation partners of their vocational education and training projects and programs, as well as strategically key stakeholders. Through cooperation with the respective members/projects, the aim is to contribute to the capacity development of system actors in the partner countries (including relevant ministries, vocational training agencies, vocational schools, local private sector, etc.). All interventions are always carried out on behalf of the respective internal organizational structures and in compliance with the communication channels of the individual members.
Indirect/passive target groups: System actors in member and partner countries, NGOs, and the interested public. These target groups also include multilateral organizations (ETF, ILO, UNEVOC), development banks (World Bank, ADB, AfDB, IDB), other bilateral donors, and the internationally active private sector in member countries. Estimated number: 200 people from the participating donor organizations or the vocational training projects they fund.
