π Tender Overview
Nowadays, in conditions of full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, COVID-19 pandemic and, as a consequence, insufficient budgetary financing of the healthcare system and low quality of medical care in state medical establishments (hospitals) of Ukraine the importance of extra-budgetary sources of financing is growing. The issue of finding new sources of medicine funding in Ukraine`s current conditions is very important in connection with the implementation of medical reform as one of the pre-conditions for Ukraine's European integration. Dissemination of European experience of medicine funding, one of the alternative sources of which is medical insurance, should promote European values and standards of qualified and high-quality medical care in Ukraine.
The relevance of the project is justified by the need to disseminate knowledge among students and the public about the existing medicine funding systems in the EU countries, alternative funding opportunities for medicine, including through the intensive development of insurance medicine. New challenges related to full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, COVID-19 pandemic, limited public resources, incomplete healthcare reform and low public awareness of health insurance require a thorough study of the EU experience and its dissemination in Ukraine.
