Scope :
The Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) was established in 2010 under the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to introduce cutting-edge technical knowledge in Malaysia through research-oriented and laboratory-based Japanese engineering education. JICA has been supporting MJIIT through ODA loan agreements and technical cooperation projects that provide educational and research equipment and introduce Japanese engineering education thereby strengthening Malaysia’s international competitiveness and cultivating human resources who can contribute to ASEAN industries.
Through strengthening MJL as a platform for collaboration between Japanese universities and industries, this project aims for MJIIT to become a prominent hub for ASEAN and Japan in terms of industry and academia collaboration.
