This project arose out of the audit need to close all incomplete projects funded during OP 6. We have referred to it as Phase 2, to differentiate it from phase 1( STL/SGP/OP6/Y8/CORE/ LD/2022/01),
The objectives are as follows:
(i) To establish and implement a capacity assessment system which will facilitate the continuous
review of the human skills available and address any deficits while improving others.
(ii) To develop and implement a capacity assessment system for all partners directly participating in the project and stakeholders with direct impact on the quality of the environment.
(iii) To complete the establishment of all infrastructure required to meet the sustainable objectives of the park.
(iv) To identify and procure the equipment required for the full operation and management of the site.
(v) To develop and implement a marketing and promotions plan, which will sustain effective demands for the use of the site.
(vi) To establish from project inception aproject monitoring and evaluation system, which captures salient data and information for decision making and community learning.
(vii) To bring together all the components of the management area into a compendium of management guidelines for review, approval and implementation and as a prelude to the preparation of a comprehensive management plan,
(viii) To establish an efficient project management office for project coordination and management,
On completion of this project, we expect that several negative land management practises would have been eliminated or at minimum reduced.
