π Tender Overview
The Jean Monnet Module on European Union Law and Policies aims to provide Vietnamese students with a systematic understanding of the EU legal system and its major policies concerning various substantive fields of EU law. With the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement coming into force on 01 August 2020, the bilateral relationship between the two partners is stronger than ever, opening more opportunities through economic integration, and promoting growth and sustainable development for both sides. The need for a high qualified workforce with knowledge about the EU system is evidently high in Vietnam. However, this need is still not met given the inadequate teaching of EU law and policies in higher education institutions in Vietnam. Against this backdrop, the Module will significantly contribute to preparing the next generation of top-quality professionals equipped with the necessary tools in EU law and policies, ready to enter the market. The Module will also encourage academic research among young researchers and lecturers of law as well as foster stronger partnerships and cooperation between Vietnamese and European academia, practitioners, policy-makers and enterprises moving forward.
