Project Description
Provision of a Portfolio Risk Sharing ("PRS") limit in the form of an unfunded financial guarantee with an aggregate amount of up to EUR 40 million equivalent, in two tranches, where Tranche A will be up to EUR 25 million and Tranche B of up to EUR 15 million, covering up to 50% of the aggregate amount of a granular portfolio of newly issued eligible sub-loans to micro, small, and medium enterprises ("MSMEs") of up to EUR 80 million (the "Covered Portfolio") originated by Banque du Caire ("BDC") for up to 5 years.
Project Objectives
The project aims to support local eligible SMEs across Egypt, providing greater access to financial resources and opportunities, by releasing the bank's risk-taking capacity.
