Scope : Construction of Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal (GCT) in Dadri, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) approved the construction of Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal (GCT) in Dadri for logistics and handling of rail cargos. It will come up on 260 acres near the inland container depot (ICD) in Dadri. This land is situated near Pali and Makora villages in Gautam Budh Nagar district. This facility will provide employment opportunities to about 15,000 people.
With the construction of the cargo terminal which will facilitate the movement of freight through dedicated freight corridor (DFC), the region is expected to become the main logistics hub of National Capital Region (NCR). It will be developed under the guidelines from the Union government wherein each state has to develop GCTs to boost investment and for better handling of cargo across the country. The proposal will be sent to the Uttar Pradesh government for approval.
