DESCRIPTION: This is the first dedicated Lending Envelope to enhance access to finance for women-owned and women-led companies, promote gender equality, as well as support social impact initiatives including microfinance and the social economy. The Lending Envelope will deploy EIB instruments tailored to the financing needs of eligible intermediaries and market realities, primarily in the EU Member States, as well as in European Free Trade Association countries and Overseas Countries and Territories. It will also support operations eligible under the Social Investment and Skills Window of the InvestEU programme.
OBJECTIVES
The aim is to improve access to finance for underserved segments of the economy, including women-led businesses and social economy actors, fostering inclusive growth, social cohesion and investments with positive social impact across eligible countries.
