The quality of peoples diets depends on food systems which shape the demand availability affordability and desirability of safe nutritious foods. By supporting the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition GAIN a Swiss foundation SDC aims at enabling small and medium size businesses in low- and middle-income countries to become accountable producers of safe nutritious products for all - women children and vulnerable people alike.
