DESCRIPTION: The facility provides funding to IDC for on-lending to projects in Critical Raw Materials (CRM) value chains with a demonstrable EU interest. Eligible projects include extraction, processing, refining, recycling and substitution. They may also include enabling infrastructure required to support CRM value chains, such as energy, transport/logistics and digital infrastructure.
OBJECTIVES
Projects under this operation will be aligned with the EU Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) and shall support the increase in the EU's economic resilience through the diversification of CRM supply chains thereby increasing preparedness to meet the accelerating demand for CRMs for the green and digital transitions. Projects under the operation will also support industrial development and local value addition.
