π Tender Overview
In Hungary, 2022 was the first year, when data were collected in an electronic system about the used anti-biotics in farms. Our experiences gained from this year's data collection show, that significant improvement is still needed in reporting willingness, data reliability and data quality to meet the criteria of the EU data collection and reporting obligations applicable from 2024. Currently, in Hungary, the veterinarians are obliged to report the antibiotics data, but this year we have received data from only one quartered of the big animal farms. The responsibility of data submission how-ever must be shared with other participants, most importantly with the farmers and feed mills. To increase the reporting activity, stakeholders must be engaged to the goal of the data collection. It can be only achieved with proper and continuous communication with all the participants. Old and very get used to habits, perspective have to be changed, which is required a lot of efforts: continuous dialogues, trainings, information dissemination. Several developments are necessary to be able to submit all mandatory data in the required format with acceptable reliability by 2024. In the frame of this project business rules will be developed and implemented in our data collection system to improve data quality, connection will be built between our data collection system and the national product database to minimise mistakes in the product selection step, interface will be planned and built between the European database (ASU) and the Hungarianβs one. According to the EU legislation the collection of usage of antibiotics must be spread for new animal species from 2027, which certainly requires some flexibility from the national data collection system. These modifi-cation and fine-tuning will be designed and developed in the project.
