π Tender Overview
Innovative Photodetector Module For Advanced Hybrid Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Positron Emission Tomography Scanners For Nuclear Medicine
Advanced Detectors For Combinatorial Medical Imagingover The Years, Advances In Medical Imaging Have Contributed To The Diagnosis Of Various Diseases. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Mri) Uses A Magnetic Field To Generate Images Of The Organs And Tissues Of The Body While Positron Emission Tomography (Pet) Unveils Their Metabolic Or Biochemical Function Using Specific Radioactive Tracers. Funded By The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Programme, The Innmedscan Project Aims To Develop High-Sensitivity Detectors For A Hybrid Scanner That Combines Mri And Pet. The Advanced Diagnostic System Uses Less Radiation Compared To Computed Tomography And Is Expected To Help Clinicians Diagnose Medical Conditions And Plan Their Treatment With Greater Accuracy.
