The project plans to contribute effectively to reducing the risks associated with pollution of the Congo River on the Boma river reach; to combat non-compliance with regulations and standards for fishing operations and thus promote the restoration of marine biodiversity. Specifically, 457 fishermen who are members of the APB and other stakeholders in the fishing industry will be strengthened in organizational capacities. They will implement an integrated fisheries management plan and combat river pollution. They will conduct campaigns to enforce regulations.
