๐ Tender Overview
Scope of Work:
To Develop 50 MW Lackareagh wind farm project.
Description:
The proposed Lackareagh wind farm project is still early in the development, but if realised, its turbines would be located in the townlands of Killeagy and Shannaknock. Lackareagh could consist of seven turbines, but the final count will be determined after the company finalises environmental studies and gathers community input.
According to the current timetable, EDF Renewables plans to submit a planning application and an environmental impact assessment report to Clare County Council in early 2023. Depending on the permitting process, the Lackareagh wind farm could be operational by 2026.
The project is being developed and currently owned by EDF Renewables Ireland.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 35,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $106.969m.
The wind power project consists of 7 turbines.
