Mambilima 2 is a 202MW hydro power project. It is planned on Luapula river/basin in Luapula, Zambia. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2025 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2028.
Description
Government of Zambia and Republique du Congo are currently owning the project.
Mambilima 2 is a run-of-river project. The project cost is expected to be around $355.183m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2028.
