📋 Tender Overview
The focus of the program is to create overtaking opportunities for 740 meter long freight trains by 2030. This will relieve the strain on routes that are used jointly by passenger and freight traffic.
In order to create the required length for the overtaking tracks, signals are usually relocated or newly built and adjustments are made to the existing track systems.
At Sangerhausen station, track 7 will be expanded to the required usable length. To do this, we are relocating points and building a new control center for electronic interlocking technology (ESTW technology) with new signaling systems and point drives. The old technology is dismantled.
Due to the adjustments to the superstructure, extensive changes to the electrical systems of the station are also required.
The new ESTW technology makes security modernizations at several level crossings (level crossings) and the renewal of the level crossings in the Zscherben and Teutschental stations necessary. In the Riedstedt and Sangerhausen train stations, new ESTW outdoor facilities are being built.
