The Southeast general communication railway line has a length of 1479.06 km. Its main routes are Teotihuacan Veracruz 434.74 km Cordoba-Medias Aguas Coatzacoalcos - El Chapo 533.15 km Puebla Tehuacn - Snchez 234.52 km Apizaco - Puebla 44.84 km and Huehuetoca-Tula-Pachuca Irolo 231.79 km. This line connects the States of Puebla Oaxaca Veracruz Tlaxcala Hidalgo State of Mexico and Mexico City. The railway line provides freight services to the ports of Veracruz and Coatzacoalcos in the Gulf of Mexico and can provide services to the port of Salina Cruz in the Pacific Ocean. The concession of the general communication railway line that corresponds to the Southeast trunk line was granted to Ferrocarril del Sureste S.A. de C.V. which includes the short route Coatzacoalcos-Merida as well as its operation and exploitation. The general communication railway line includes the railway right-of-way traffic control centers and railway operation signals.
