The general railway communication line of the Valley of Mexico with a total length of 579.9 km out of which 296.8 km are principal and 283.1 km are secondary and courtyards is the most important cargo traffic reordering center at a national level whose main objective is to provide interconnection and terminal services for the reception classification formation and control of train traffic intraterminal trawls and cargo transfers. The concession of the general railway communication line that corresponds to the trunk line of the Valley of Mexico as well as its operation and exploitation was granted to the company Terminal Ferroviaria del Valle de Mxico S.A. of C.V. .The general railway communication line includes the rail track right-of-way traffic control centers and the signals for the railway operation. Additionally the concessionaire will be responsible for the traffic control in the Huehuetoca-Buenavista section. During the execution of the works and the necessary investments for the traffic control of the electrified track in the Quertaro-Huehuetoca and Huehuetoca-Buenavista sections the concessionaire will be responsible for the traffic control of the Huehuetoca-Quertaro section.
