๐ Tender Overview
Institutions of higher education are facing challenges in offering their students, lecturers and other stakeholders access to advanced technology. Technology is rapidly evolving, and new technology needs better network facilities with special attention for cybersecurity. Also, it is challenging for lecturers to stay on the forefront of such new technology possibilities.
The CEF-program enables the public partner of this project to implement a 5G-based system โ delivering leading-edge connectivity - and to set up a dedicated program to involve different educational programs and entrepreneurs in exploring the possibilities of 5G.
The project seeks to leverage the benefits of 5G technology to provide a reliable, high-speed, and low-latency network infrastructure that can support the development of new and innovative digital services and applications in various sectors, such as healthcare, agriculture, logistics, mobility and industry (active educational and research domains of the University College). The project will allow students, researchers, staff, (student)entrepreneurs and local communities to excel with digital skills. Additionally, the project develops a roadmap for future expansion and adoption to anticipate new use cases and necessary network upgrades. It proactively addresses the security and privacy implications of 5G technology.
By this project, the public University College is capable of excelling in education, research, service, and the practice of the arts. By this project, the knowledge institution is shaping the professionals of the future, adhering to the Lifelong Learning Objectives set out by the European commission, creating an open, critical and creative society that provides valuable contributions to the community and helping to build a better future for all. The College is also involved in a European University Program, and will share the outcomes of this project with other knowledge institutions from other European regions.
