The ta will produce quality applied knowledge to help achieve a deeper understanding of the digital sector, map and analyze value chains and policy levers to recommend regulatory changes to improve the competitiveness of pakistans digital sector through a digital ecosystem diagnostic report followed by national digital policy framework and a long-term sector road map.
The knowledge and support technical assistance (ta) will (i) conduct a country digital ecosystem diagnostic study; (ii) prepare the national digital policy framework and sector road map; and (iii) strengthen knowledge and capacities of government officials on the new internet-based business models for informed policy formulation and regulation. The findings will support the government of pakistan to adopt the national digital policy framework with a 10-year sector road map; the ta will help bring long term strategic focus to digital trade, foster innovation, investment, inclusive employment, and entrepreneurship.
The ta will be aligned with the following impact: country digital transformation for inclusive growth accelerated.
Institutional capacity of the government to support digital trade, entrepreneurship & employment in the ict sector enhanced.
