Project Description
Pehart is a leading producer of tissue paper in Romania, operating two plants in Petresti and Dej. It manufactures jumbo rolls as well as finished products, including toilet paper and kitchen rolls, which are sold under own brands and private labels.
The proposed Project comprises the following components: (i) buyout of Pehart, (ii) capital expenditures to install new converting lines and improve energy efficiency, and (iii) refinancing of existing debt.
Associated Advisory Engagement
IFC is assisting Pehart in (i) setting and achieving the sustainability targets under the Project; and (ii) assessing gender dynamics within Pehart’s operations.
