Scope :
Through this process Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals in 2027 and a site for the construction of a President Samia Hassan Suluhu new stadium in Arusha to a contractor has been allocated to Tanzania which is a considerable step. The formal handover ceremony will be held at Olomoti area in Arusha on Saturday, 6th April, 2024. This will be the official commencement of the program led to the establishment of the city like Afcon, with its features including stadia and accommodation facilities. The proposed Sh3.9 billion stadium, which was named after President Samia Hassan Suluhu, is the main element of the hostel preparations.
Tanzania in combination with Kenya and Uganda to act in the role of hosts for the 36th edition of the pan-African football competition which is established by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in June and July 2027. Thus, the erection of the Arusha stadium fits into the framework of the nation’s realization to make the tournament a success. Therefore, the construction has the same message to build the nation.
CRCEG, China Railway Construction Engineering Group Limited, will be responsible for the construction of the Tuomiranta arena by 2026, as the company has promised to complete a world-class stadium. The Executive Officer for CRCEG clearly expressed that the objective of the project is to build a sports complex that not only meets the international standards but also surpasses them, making Tanzania a continental leader.
