Renewal A6 Rubigen Tender

ScopeThe A6 between Rubigen and Spiez will be comprehensively renewed after around 45 years of operation and adapted to the current standards with regard to safety environmental protection and dimensioning. The Rubigen - Kiesen section has been completely renewed as is the Thun-North - Thun-South section with the traffic corridor on the Allmend still being dismantled in 2021. The renovation of the Rubigen - Spiez motorway section will be divided into three construction phases North Rubigen - Kiesen Middle Kiesen - Thun-Sd and South Thun-Sd - Spiez Wimmis. The project is also known as the RUTS Rubigen Thun Spiez maintenance project. Work has been completed on the North Rubigen - Kiesen motorway section as well as on the Thun-North - Thun-South section. The traffic corridor on the Allmend is currently being dismantled and the site is being recultivated. Preparatory work for the Kiesen - Thun-Nord section has also been underway since autumn 2020. The renewal of the motorway section south Thun-Sd - Wimmis Spiez is planned for the period from 2023 to 2026 including preparatory and completion work. The project for the south section took place in 2020.The A6 from Rubigen to Spiez will be completely renewed. All components of the infrastructure are being repaired and as far as possible adapted to the current standards. With such overall renovations it is important to bring contradicting concerns such as a short construction time low costs minimal traffic obstructions and occupational safety under one roof. To ensure a coordinated regeneration of the motorway network the ASTRA applies at the so-called total renewals UPLaNs-strategy U nterhalts Pla voltage N ational s route The work is carried out as a rolling rehabilitation in stages of around 5 km per year The work is carried out in two shifts if possible A total renovation should be followed by at least 15 years without any further structural interventions The approximately 30 km long section of the A6 between Rubigen and Spiez was divided into 3 planning sections north center and south. These planning sections each contain two construction sections around 5 km long.
