Santiago Metro Line Tender

ScopeSantiago Metro Line 7 is a new line due to open on the Santiago Metro Santiago Chile in 2027. It will connect the commune of Renca in the north west of the city with the centre and east of the city where most economic activity is concentrated. The first stage is set to be completed by 2025 with the whole line to be finished by 2026. It will have 19 new stations on 24.8 km of track.According to the original project it will start at the intersection of the avenues Brazil with Vicua Mackenna in Renca from where it will start to the south following the route of the last street it will cross the Mapocho river at the height of the Resbaln bridge in Cerro Navia and from there it will continue by Rolando Petersen to the south until its intersection with Mapocho Avenue here it will go towards the east following this same route it will cross the communes of Cerro Navia and Quinta Normal connecting in a perpendicular way the lines 2 and 3 in the Puente Cal y Canto station to continue under the park corridor that borders the Mapocho Forestal and Balmaceda in this route it will combine with lines 5 and 1 at the Baquedano station and possibly Salvador on Line 1. After passing through the Balmaceda park following the Andrs Bello avenue it will continue through Vitacura until Alonso de Crdova where it will connect with Kennedy Avenue to finish his tour in Estoril with Las Condes.Metro de Santiago awarded Systra a contract for the basic design for rail systems workshops and rolling stock for the Line 7.The project envisages the construction of a 26-km line running east to west partly parallel with line 1.The line will enter services in 2026 and it is expected to relieve it of around 10000 passengers per day.Starting 2026 Santiago network should consist of 176 km of track and 163 stations. Line 7 is the first project in a new phase of expansion for the Santiago metro over the next 8 years that will see the construction of 3 new lines and 4-line extensions.Previous EVent November 29 2021 China Railway 16th Bureau Group will begin construction of the first of six stretches of Santiagos US2.5bn metro line No. 7 during the first quarter of 2022.
