Project description
The WeCAPS 2 project (Safety and Security in Ports in West and Central Africa) is being implemented by Enabel, the Belgian development agency, in several West and Central African countries, including Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Senegal. It aims to improve sustainable and efficient intra-African connectivity by supporting strategic and secure ports, thereby contributing to economic development and disaster risk reduction in the region.
The project builds on the results achieved by the previous project and goes further by implementing soft measures to build capacity and ensure sustainability with port authorities.
