Siyambalanduwa Solar Park Tender

Scope :
Siyambalanduwa Solar PV Park is a 100MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Uva, Sri Lanka.

The project construction is likely to commence in 2025 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2026.

Description

The project is currently owned by Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority with a stake of 100%.

Siyambalanduwa Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 546 acres.

The project is expected to generate 148,000MWh electricity to offset 147,542t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Ceylon Electricity Board under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
