Development of 2-GW solar power hub in Indonesia
Description:
The Sugi Power Hub will be located on Sugi Island in the Riau Islands Province, with an initial solar capacity of 1 GW expected to come online by the third quarter of 2026. The project aims to double its capacity to 2 GW by the end of 2027. Preliminary work on the hub is already in progress, having completed feasibility studies, with detailed project engineering scheduled to begin soon. The final investment decision is anticipated in the second quarter of 2025.
