objective
The objective of this project is to increase of the level of interoperability, safety and sustainability of the rail traffic in the Czech Republic. It covers the deployment of ERTMS/ETCS on-board components Baseline 3 on 103 vehicles (for a total of 110 OBU ETCS) of 5 different types of wagons operating on TEN-T corridors and other railways in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. The project is part of the global project focused on modernizing railway transport in the Czech Republic, which is intersected by three Core Network Corridors – Baltic-Adriatic, Rhine-Danube and Orient/East-Med - making it one of the most important railway transit countries and transport hubs in the European Union. The vehicles covered by this project are listed below: 1 On-board upgrade international series 680: 1 prototype and 6 serial (for a total of 14 OBU ETCS) 2. On-board retrofit national series 750.7: 17 serial 3. On-board retrofit national series 844: 12 serial 4. On-board retrofit national series 842: 35 serial 5. On-board retrofit national series 954: 32 serial
