Project Description
Provision of up to USD [110] million senior loan to AlDau Hospitality BV ("AlDau Hospitality" or the "Company") or to its fully owned subsidiaries as part of a larger financing package amounting to up to USD [265] million equivalent, which is expected to be provided in parallel to local and/or international financial institutions.
Project Objectives
The loan will (i) finance the development of a new 400-key hotel in West Cairo in the vicinity of and overlooking the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza, (ii) refinance/consolidate existing debt of AlDau Hospitality subsidiaries, (iii) finance other Capex-related investments, including acquisition of land and buildings and refurbishment Capex and (iv) fund future capex.

er the Inclusive quality the project will introduce more open, equal and diverse HR policies that promote equal opportunity and diversity associated with the recruitment, retention, career progression and training opportunities of women workers across a variety of job profiles, aiming to increase overall women representation in the company's workforce. Under the Green quality, the Project will partly finance the development of a new hotel in West Cairo with enhanced sustainability features that is expected to be green certified by an internationally recognised green buildings scheme at levels of certification sufficient to meet eligibility criteria for green financing. In addition, the Bank will work closely with the client to enhance resource-efficiency in operations, according to international best practice, and identify opportunities for additional sustainability actions.
