Project Summary
This project aims to explore and promote the implementation of regulatory sandboxes to accelerate the commercialisation of emerging technologies in green energy sector within APEC economies. By creating controlled environments to test innovations such as artificial intelligence in renewable energy systems, the initiative aims to address regulatory barriers. Through case studies and a workshop involving regulators, innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders, the project will identify successful sandbox implementations, analyse their impact, and develop actionable policy insights and recommendations for scaling up and replicating these models in developing member economies.
These frameworks are designed to support MSMEs and startups, ensure that advances in green energy technologies are inclusive, accesible safe and sustainable. Aligned with APECโs innovation and sustainability goals, the project fosters regional collaboration, enhances regulatory adaptability, and empowers economies to harness digital transformation for shared progress.
