Western Harbour Tunnel Tender

ScopePlanning permission has been granted for a 6.5km tunnel and motorway project that will run under Sydney Harbour in Australia.At present the Sydney Harbour Bridge and tunnel carry most of the traffic between the north of the city and the Olympic Park.Tendering for the US11 billion project is under way and work is expected to begin next year with a view to completion in 2026.The Western Harbour Tunnel and Warringah Freeway Upgrade as the project is called will have six lanes and double-bore tunnels built in a trench on the harbour floor using prefabricated concrete tubes.
